Manhunter Wiki
Alliancecomputer

Alliance Computer room

The Alliance Computer is the main computer of the Orb Alliance controlling operations on New York. It is housed in the Empire State Building and Phil Cook possibly was its operator.

The MADs of the Manhunters are linked to the Computer via radio transmission, through which they access the Human Database Service and the Human Tracking Records. A recently installed feature in the MAD is the Signal Tracking Mode. It involves the emergency tagging of signals entering and leaving the Alliance Computer. With the MAD, a Manhunter can manually tag a played-back signal to be fed to the experimental Signal Analyzer in the Buffer. The MAD can then track the signal's source.

The Underground used an underground corridor that led from Abdul's Pawn Shop to the Building, supposedly to have access to it, and sabotage the Orb operations. Harry Jones had somehow obtained the password to the main computer (UCUCC).

  • Alpha (Bellevue Hospital)
  • Beta (Grand Central Terminal)
  • Gamma (Statue of Liberty)
  • Delta (the ESB itself)

Having obtained the password from Jones's Theater in Times Square, the Manhunter accessed the terminal from Room 3 of the 71st floor. He reassigned Alpha security orders and guard robots in order to reach restricted areas of the Hospital; he also disabled the defenses of the Statue of Liberty by selecting Ground Patrol. After illegally tampering with the Computer the Manhunter had to track his own signal with in the MAD Tracking Mode, revealing his own source.

Later he hijacked an orb ship and destroyed the ESB and possibly the Computer.

Trivia[]

Accessing Delta and tampering with its settings is optional. The Manhunter can activate the Signal Tracker, which won't affect the game; however if he does, and then re-selects Access Security, he can see some rooms of the Building, and then will be killed by the room's defense system.
